Windows 10 uses the Photos app as the default app to open image files with instead now. By default, Windows Photo Viewer is no longer listed in Open with, and only has .tiff files associated with it in Default Programs.
- Right-click on any image on the Windows 10 machine and select Open With > Choose another app.
- Select "More apps" if Windows Photo Viewer is not listed.
- Scroll down to see if the program is listed. If you see it there, Windows Photo Viewer is installed and ready for use.
- Support JPEG, JPG, JPE, JFIF format
- Support BMP, DIB, ICO format.
- Support PNG, TIFF, TIF.
- Support GIF, WDP, JXR.
- Apply changes to either current user or all users on a computer.
- Restore the missing Windows Photo Viewer to Windows 10.
- Set Windows Photo Viewer as default photo viewer.
- Revert to Microsoft Photos App at any time.
The Windows Photo Viewer has many issues of its own.

it can only process RAW and JPEG images. But you have no idea what
